Wi-Fi Alliance® congratulates FCC Commissioner O’Rielly for renomination

Austin, Texas and Washington, D.C. – March 19, 2020 – Wi-Fi Alliance® congratulates Commissioner Michael O’Rielly on his renomination by the President to serve another term at the Federal Communications Commission. Commissioner O’Rielly has been a strong supporter of Wi-Fi®, championing availability of 5.9 and 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum for Wi-Fi’s use. Wi-Fi Alliance recognized Commissioner O’Rielly as a Wi-Fi Champion last year for his commitment to advancing unlicensed spectrum policies, and are grateful for his continual acknowledgement of Wi-Fi’s critical role in next generation of connectivity, innovation, and economic prosperity.
